The Harvest Project: Diversity Education Program

The Harvest Project is a two faceted intercultural and interfaith training on the issues of oppression and intolerance. The “Day-long Diversity Training Workshop” raises peer awareness of oppression and intolerance within their own communities, and provides cultural sensitivity training through presentations, sharing and open discussions. Through a dynamic comprehensive 14 session training series, youth have the opportunity to learn and think about the roots of oppression and how intolerance leads to violence and hatred.

 

 

 

 

B.E.S.T. Programs: Basic Business Education Service Training:

Provides youth with business and management skills, career exploration, and job readiness training.

The Oasis Events Program

The Oasis Events Program is an event production and management program that allows youth to learn about and participate in the world of performing arts and explore careers in the music industry through hands-on planning and management of live performances and events.

4 Reel Films Program

“Putting a camera in a kid’s hands can lead to life-changing experiences.” 4 Reel Films provides workshops and a training series that teaches young people specific marketable skills in filmmaking and videography, and an understanding of the arts as a profession.

Oasis Music Records: Youth Record Label

Oasis Music gives youth an experience of the complications and thrill of running a record label and an exploration of the production and publishing end of the music industry. Youth have a hands-on involvement in all aspects of creating and publishing a quality music product.

Job Readiness Program

Job Readiness prepares youth to explore career possibilities, look for jobs, fill out applications, build resumes, successfully complete an interview and understand the expectations of being an employee and potentially future business owners.
